Balfour Kilpatrick, the engineering services arm of Balfour Beatty, is shifting the bulk of its operations in Scotland to an environmentally friendly office in Hillingdon Park, Glasgow.
The company is moving its head office, projects unit and Scotland west operations to the 'Lumina' building, which Balfour claim exceeds the BREEAM standards.
The building will feature solar thermal water heating, solar control glass, energy efficient lighting controls and waterless urinals.
Balfour Kilpatrick managing director Garry Black said: "A car sharing/parking policy has been introduced, and showers and cycle racks will be provided. These initiatives will help us meet and exceed our carbon reduction targets."
