North Devon College is now offering a fast track three-day NVQ in construction which its says meets the needs and demands of the industry.
The Experienced Worker Practical Assessment was developed by North Devon College assessors, Stuart Otani and Mike Trott. It will enable skilled workers to gain a level 2 NVQ.
The college is one of the first accredited centres for EWPA in the country.
Business procurement director Roy Imeson said: "This assessment route meets the demands of the modern construction industry and recognises the skills of the experienced worker to complete the requirements for the Construction Skills Certification Scheme card within three working days.
"It is a fine example of how education, assessment and training can be tailor made to suit needs of local, national and European construction companies and individuals."
