Durham ice rink plans revealed

Plans have been revealed for an Olympic-sized ice rink at Belmont Business Park, near Durham.

The 3,000-seat ice arena on the former LG Philips site would also feature restaurants, shops and cafes.

Behind the plans is a consortium of North-east businesses and investors.

A planning application is set to be submitted before Christmas.
