Planning application made for speedway track

A planning application for a speedway track has been submitted to North Cornwall District Council.

It is believed that a consortium of local businessmen is behind the plans, which would see a track build on land at the rear of Bodmin Rugby Club, at the junction of the A38 and A30.

According to reports a decision is expected from the council towards the end of the year.

There has been no speedway track in Cornwall since the closure of Clay Country Moto Park in 2003.
