Capita profits up

The company that owns consultant Capita Symonds saw double digit rises in turnover and profits in the half year to June.

Revenue at Capita was up one fifth to £1.1 billion thanks to a host of new deals and acquisitions.

Group pre-tax profits were up 16 per cent to just over £120 million.

Turnover at Capita Symonds was up nearly 12 per cent to £134.5 million which managing director Jonathan Goring said was its strongest six months performance since it launched four years ago.
