Bam wins £35m Derby Council refurb job

Derby City Council has chosen Bam Construct to deliver a £35 million project to refurbish and rebuild its Council House.

The project will see the building transformed to add new office space, a council chamber and members’ accommodation of A rated BREEAM standard. 

The building will include a range of sustainable including using the River Derwent to harness electricity.

Mace is project managing the scheme which was designed by Corstorphine + Wright.

Bam director Richard Dakin said:  “This will be a striking looking new and refurbished building for the council.

“Bam’s considerate style of building is well known across the UK and we’ll bring that together with a first rate team to deliver this major project for the city.”
