Enviros sold for £27m
Leading industry consultant Enviros has been snapped up by engineering, sciences and project delivery giant Sinclair Knight Merz for £27 million.
The sale of the Carillion-owned environmental consultancy is expected to complete within the coming weeks.
SKM said it had bought the firm as ‘an immediate response to client needs’ after research indicated that almost half its clients think that climate change is a significant short-term risk, and 70 per cent think it will be in a 10-year time frame.
SKM Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, Paul Dougas said: “The fact is that Europe leads the world in sustainability, climate change and environment, and Enviros is a leading firm in this space.
Carillion said a further announcement would be made when the sale had been completed.
