Contractor sees benefit of Little Giant's reworking

Peterborough-based RS Air Conditioning Services set to install more units

Little Giant and Pump House have undertaken contractor feedback to enhance their Little Giant NXTGen tank pump.

The pump, which has seen exceptional sales according to the company, retains its existing build; however, revisions means enhancements extend the unit’s working life.

The measures include: lift increased by more than 10 per cent to 4.8 metres; vibration absorbing rubber feet; a separate stainless steel mounting bracket for easier installation; quick release non-return valves available in 3/8” & 1/4”; and an extended warranty.

These add to the unit’s existing features: separate stainless steel mounting bracket makes fitting simple and allows the pump to be rotated through 180 degrees; an inter-changeable non-return valve with an option of 3/8” & 1/4” so the pump can be serviced without the need to disconnect a hose; an optional anti-sweat sleeve for humid environments, which eliminates condensate on the outside of a tank.

The unit’s reception in the market is summed up by contractor, Simon Hayes, director of RS Air Conditioning (Services) based in Peterborough, who has bought and installed more than 50 since December 2008.

He says: “Although marginally more expensive than other tank pumps, my experience with ‘Little Giant’ is that they typically double the working life above other models in the market.

Pump House is a Nottingham based distributor of hvac products for the global brands Little Giant and DiversiTech.
