Evapco Europe acquires Flex Coil in Denmark
Purchase marks a first in Europe where a cooling tower manufacturer buys a dry cooler manufacturer
Evapco Europe has bought Danish dry cooling business Flex Coil.
The acquisition, which took place on 15 April 2009, enables Evapco to maintain four manufacturing facilities: two facilities in Italy, one in Denmark and one in Belgium where Evapco’s European headquarters is also located.
Flex Coil manufactures and markets finned coil products for the industrial, refrigeration and air conditioning markets.
The acquisition, which Jan Rombouts, president of Evapco Europe describes as a hand-in-glove fit for both companies, will see the addition of environmentally friendly product in its line-up.
Evapco Europe is a wholly owned subsidiary of Evapco, an American company which manufactures evaporative cooling and industrial refrigeration equipment.
