Skanska has promised construction union Ucatt that it will crackdown on blacklisting and has pledged to launch an investigation into its previous conduct on its sites, following revelations in the Observer on Sunday that the company made over 12,700 blacklist checks in 2008 at a cost of more than £28,000.
