07May92 UK: NUTTALL TO ABSTRACT WATER FROM THE SPEY FOR GRAMPIAN REGION COUNCIL.
Nuttall is to start work in early June on a £25 million scheme to abstract water from the Spey for Grampian Regional Council.The scheme, on which Mott MacDonald is consulting engineer, involves abstracting water from wells adjacent to the river instead of directly from it.Phase one involves constructing 36 tubewells 50-80 m inland from the west bank of the Spey along a 3 km stretch upstream from Fochabers.
