09Aug91 UK: EDMUND NUTTALL SET TO COMPLETE DOVER EASTERN DOCKS CONTRACT LATER THIS MONTH.

Beam lift: Larger ferries will be able to use Dover's Eastern Docks later this month when modifications to No 6 berth are complete. Contractor Edmund Nuttall has brought in heavy lift floating cranes to install the portal and bridges for the berth while its beam capability was increased to 28 m and new tendering was put in place. Some of the dismantling and re-assembly work was subcontracted to the harbour board's maintenance department.
