15Apr93 UK: LEICESTER FANFARE - SIR ROBERT MCALPINE WINS £5.35M CONTRACT.
Sir Robert McAlpine has taken a £5.35 million job to upgrade the members' stand at Leicester City FC's Filbert Street ground.Work starts on May 4, with phased handovers beginning in September. By completion in December the ground should have a capacity of around 24,000, up 4,000 from the present figure.A new three-their stand replaces the one built in 1921. Plans include conference facilities, boxes and a restaurant. CONSTRUCTION NEWS
