17May91 UK: MOWLEM GETS £12M MORE WORK ON MANCHESTER'S STRANGEWAYS PRISON.
Mowlem has been given £12 million more work on Manchester's Strangeways prison for the Home Office.It comprises kitchen facilities, a physical and recreational centre and a training and industries centre at the Croft site to the north of the prison.Work will start in July for completion in December 1992 and includes the upgrading of perimeter security and bridge over Sherbourne Street to connect the Croft site with the main prison complex.
