Sir Robert McAlpine will carry out the civils work connected with a £500 million power station expansion project to supply electricity to London Underground.It is also to sign a negotiated contract with a new firm MetroPower, formed as a joint venture between London Underground, Scottish Power and German generator VEBA Kraftwerke Rhur.McAlpine will undertake the extensive civils work needed for expanding and refitting two existing power stations now owned by London Underground.One ...
