20Aug92 UK: NUTTALL BUYS SILENCED HIGH PRESSURE JET UNIT FROM CALDER PRESSURE SYSTEMS. Nuttall has purchased its first silenced high pressure jet unit from Calder Pressure Systems.

Powered by a Volvo turbo diesel, the Calder Multijet Unit can deliver water at pressures of up to 1090 bar.The machine's acoustic canopy is claimed to reduce noise levels to within 85 dBa at a distance of 2m.The company plans to use the machine on motorway bridge repairs as part of the Midlands Links project.Calder Pressure Systems says its machine can also be used to carry out wet sand and underwater blasting jobs and drain cleaning.
