21Jun91 UK: SIR ROBERT MCALPINE TO START WORK AT MIXED SCHEME IN GATESHEAD.
Sir Robert McAlpine (North East) starts work next month on a £50 million mixed development at the 14 ha site of the former National Garden Festival, Gateshead.The phased project, known as Tyne Park, will include a business park, leisure elements and housing and create around 100 construction jobs.The Alan J Smith Partnership of Newcastle is the scheme's architect.
