26Mar92 UK: BIRSE, TRAFALGAR HOUSE, ALFRED MCALPINE AND SIR ROBERT MCALPINE TO BID FOR SOUTH WEST WATER SEWAGE WORKS JOB.

Four firms will send back bids to South West Water next month for the £12 million Par Sewage treatment works at St Austell, Cornwall.They are understood to be Birse, Trafalgar House, and the two McAlpines - Sir Robert and Alfred.The turnkey contract will include demolishing the old sewage treatment works and building another at Par Moor, a 300 m tunnel to a 1 km outfall, and new pipelines.Work is due to start in the early summer for completion in time for the 1993 holiday season. ...
