Six JCB backhoe loaders have been donated by the plant giant to help create a camp for families left homeless by last month's earthquake in the Sichuan Province of China which left close to 70,000 people dead.

The pictures were taken by JCB employee Joe Cook who works at the company's factory in Shanghai as product promotions manager and where the backhoes are manufactured.

The machines have been used to clear blocked roads, general earthmoving duties and site clearance to enable temporary housing to be built.
