Blackpool's urban regeneration company ReBlackpool has appointed Sir Howard Bernstein as its new chair after Sir Peter Hall stepped down from the role earlier in the year.
Sir Bernstein has resigned from the board of the Olympic Delivery Authority to take up this role.
ReBlackpool chief executive Doug Garrett said: "Sir Howard has a proven record in delivering major regeneration projects and his skills and experience will now be used to lead and push forward development in Blackpool."
ReBlackpool aims to transform the coastal resort and to bring about economic and social regeneration.
