Worker dies on Rugby track upgrade

A construction worker has been killed while carrying out a track upgrade on the West Coast Mainline in Warwickshire.

It is understood the Leda Rail employee died on Saturday when he was working just south of Rugby station.

No other details of the incident have been released.

The Health and Safety Executive and Network Rail, which is overseeing the major engineering works at Rugby, are investigating.
