GB Building Solutions has been appointed as construction partner on a £100 million student accommodation-led scheme at Bradford.
The project, being developed by Mi7 Developments, will include a 1000-bed student village, health and dental centre, business units, 80 post-graduate student apartments, a retail precinct and a hotel. A combined heat and power plant will also be built.
GB chairman Martin Smout said the project would be the catalyst for the regeneration of Bradford's Learning Quarter.
He added: "This project will be central to the regeneration of Bradford and will transform the university and surrounding area as part of the ambitious plans to create a £750 million Learning Quarter in the city."
He said sustainability would be a key focus for the project team.
Outline planning permission has been obtained and a reserved matters planning application has been submitted for the initial phases. Work is due to start on site this year with an estimated completion in 2013.
