Leeds based Operon Construction has been chosen to design and build the Elmhurst Intermediate Care Facility, Winsford, for Central and Eastern Cheshire Primary Care NHS Trust.
The project will transform the former council care home to a 30-bed centre with en-suite facilities.
Work will cover demolition, structural works, M&E works, partitioning and provision of a car park.
The new facility will offer short-term transitional care, due to be completed in early 2009.
